Phil and the team here are pleased to announce the return of MANOR HEIGHTS for this year’s Farmer Phil’s Festival.
Fast becoming something of the house band at our happy little Shropshire Hills shindig, Manor Heights are five eclectic individuals who each bring their own fuel to throw the fire of their rock-infused ska. Visitors to the festival or those local to the area will be familiar with the band’s sound, which also draws from reggae, electronica and punk to create an infectious vibe that gets everyone up and grooving.
Ignoring both musical and topical boundaries, Manor Heights’ ethos is to provoke a party, creating a fun escape from the hum drum of day-to-day life.
2023 saw Manor Heights establishing themselves on the live scene with a strong of festival and club shows, culminating in them being awarded ‘Best Newcomer’ at the Shropshire Music Awards, alongside several other nominations.
Now, having cut their teeth for several years on the live circuit taking in shows across the country, the band is set to release their self-titled debut EP, recorded by renowned producer Gavin Monaghan (Editors, Kid Kapichi, The Sherlocks, The Twang) at Magic Garden Studios in Wolverhampton.
The first single ‘Ctrl+Alt+Del’ set the tone, with house-sized riffs contrasting with bouncy ska verses, and latest single ‘Hasta la Vista’ is a fast-paced electro-rock/ska tune that accounts a great escape.
Here at Farmer Phil’s Festival, we know this will be a popular choice with many, and so the decision to bring Manor Heights back to Ratlinghope was probably the easiest we’ve made this year!
