This is huge! We’re delighted to announce the return to Farmer Phil’s Festival for Staffordshire rockers PISTON, who impressed last year with a rousing performance that made light of the miserable weather.
Since making their sizzling Ratlinghope debut last year, Piston has gone on to enjoy an extremely busy few months that has seen them release their debut album, toured with The Cult as special guests on their Sonic Temple 30th Anniversary tour, Deep Purple’s Glenn Hughes, Motorhead’s Phil Campbell, Collateral and play a slew of festivals including Rambling Man and Hard Rock Hell. They head out on the road again in April supporting Planet Rock heroes The Bad Touch and were recently hand-picked by rock legends Thunder to open the Birmingham leg of their forthcoming UK tour in November.
In between all that, Piston released a barnstorming cover of Slade’s ‘Mama Weer All Crazee Now’ that received rave reviews from all quarters of the rock press from Classic Rock to Planet Roach, Powerplay, Black Velvet and Total Guitar, and was loved by all of us here at Farmer Phil’s Festival.
Guitarists Luke Allatt and Jack Edwards were both nominated by Music Radar for Best New Guitarist in 2019, while Total Guitar and Planet Rock both identified Piston as ‘one to watch’ as attention in the band continued to grow.
There’s no question Piston’s star is on the rise and we’re excited to bring them back to Farmer Phil’s Festival to get you rocking out again this year!
